La Unión Argentina de Rugby (UAR) confirmó el plantel Femenino que concentrará desde hoy en Santa Fe y que el sábado 6 y domingo 7 de diciembre disputará el Torneo Sudamericano de Seven Femenino, en la ciudad de Paraná.
En la jornada de miércoles 3 del corriente, el Seleccionado nacional se reunirá en la ciudad de Santa Fe, donde se hospedará en las instalaciones del Hotel de Campo Colón.
En su primer y segundo día en la ciudad de Santa Fe, el equipo argentino llevará a cabo dos turnos de entrenamientos, los cuales alternarán con análisis de video, en tanto que el viernes practicará sólo por la mañana y tendrá la tarde libre.
“En éstos días en Santa Fe vamos a buscar mejorar la obtención y la utilización de la posesión, y seguir creciendo en defensa, en ser cada vez más ahogantes y agresivas”, señaló el entrenador Nahuel García, quien contó que éstas son las convocadas porque “consideramos que son las 12 que tuvieron un mejor rendimiento en el Valentín Martínez”.
En referencia a la competencia, el salteño dijo: “Para nosotros es un torneo muy importante el del fin de semana, para poder consolidar ciertos aspectos del juego en los que venimos trabajando y para seguir evaluando el rendimiento individual y colectivo de las jugadoras”.
El Seleccionado nacional enfrentará en el Torneo Sudamericano de Seven Femenino a sus similares de Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay y Perú. Al respecto de esto, García remarcó: “El torneo de Paraná lo afrontamos como preparación a lo que será la clasificación a los Juegos Panamericanos que se disputarán en Toronto en el mes de julio. El 10 y 11 de enero, en Mar del Plata, se jugarán la clasificación y queremos llegar de la mejor manera para lograr uno de los dos cupos”.
